Where DO we come from?

where do we come fromMars? A test tube?  Most of us come from two places: one cell from Mama and one cell from Papa.  Think about that for a second.  When those two tiny cells first get together, the result is something so small that you can’t even see it with the naked eye.  Yet what happens nine months later?  A perfect little baby pops out.  Well, it doesn’t actually “pop” out…there’s some effort involved, but you know what I mean.

There are a LOT of things that happen during those nine months.  Many systems form: nervous system, cardiovascular, endocrine, reproductive, digestive, skeletal, muscular, and several others.  Do have any idea which one forms first?  Many people answer “the heart”, which actually makes sense.  We need blood pumping to develop, right?  The correct answer is actually the nervous system.  In fact, the nervous system begins to form only EIGHTEEN days after those two tiny cells get together.  Most women don’t even know they’re pregnant when their baby’s brain has begun to form.

Now why the nervous system first?  Why not the heart?  Because the nervous system; composed of the brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves in the body; is like the orchestra conductor.  It coordinates all the other systems.  It tells your heart beat, your lungs to breathe, your stomach to digest, along with every other function in your body.

This is the key reason that chiropractic addresses the spine and nervous system.  It’s definitely not due to back pain, but because obstructions within the nerve system and the spine level will cause dis-harmony in the body.  Body, mind, spirit disharmony or dis-ease leads to disease.   The intent of spinal adjustments are to remove the obstructions within your nerve system so you may organize at a higher level.  Taking boulders out of the river improves flow.  Removing blockages from your spine allows your body to optimize and reorganize making you healthier, happier, and giving you and your family better QUALITY and QUANTITY of life!

Chiropractic is about adding years to life and life to years.
